Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (SMCHH) is an 83-bed acute care hospital opened in 2012 in Harker Heights, Texas offering an array of services such as a Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated Emergency Room, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, a dedicated Women’s Center, Diagnostic Services and more. We provide exceptional care through collaboration with our caregivers, physicians, volunteers and community partners. Our award-winning staff provides patient care with dignity and respect. We are Joint Commission Accredited, an Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Advanced Primary Stroke Center. SMCHH is a joint venture between the Austin-based Ascension and Nashville-based Ardent Health Services.

Administration Team
Patrick Swindle, Chief Executive Officer
Patrick Swindle became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights, an Ardent Health Services facility, in August 2020. Previously, Swindle served as CEO for two other Ardent Health Services facilities: UT Health Pittsburg from 2018 to 2020 and UT Health Quitman in East Texas from 2015 to 2020. Prior to joining Ardent Health Services, Swindle worked at the East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System in Tyler, Texas where he served as program manager, FirstNet Exchange from 2012 to 2014 and the manager of systems support from 2014 to 2015.
Swindle earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and his Masters of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. He completed his administrative residency at the Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Shanna Cameron, Chief Financial Officer
Shanna comes to Seton Medical Center from Brownwood Regional Medical Center in Brownwood, Texas, where she has been CFO since May of 2019. She oversaw the financial and strategic operations of the 188 bed acute hospital. Previously, Shanna served as the Assistant CFO of Cedar Park Regional Medical from 2016-2019 and the Finance Manager for the Baylor Scott & White Memorial Campus in Temple, TX from 2012-2016. Shanna, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) was born and raised in Temple, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Tarleton State University. Shanna, and her husband Jason, have three sons. The Cameron family love being in the outdoors and camping, swimming and hiking in their spare time.
Mandy Shaiffer, RN, BSN, Chief Nursing Officer
Mandy Shaiffer, RN, BSN is the Chief Nursing Officer at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (SMCHH). Mandy is an accomplished clinical leader with many years of experience. Before coming to SMCHH, she served as CNO of Mt. San Rafael Hospital in Trinidad, Colorado. As a result of Mandy’s leadership, the hospital’s CMS star rating improved from 3 stars to 5 stars. Prior to joining Mt. San Rafael Hospital in 2015, she was CNO of Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas, Arkansas and served in various other clinical positions at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mandy received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Three Rivers Community College.
Bodie Correll, MD, MBA, FHM, Chief Medical Officer
Bodie Correll, MD, MBA, FHM, became Chief Medical Officer (CMO) on Nov. 1, 2022 after serving as chief of staff and medical director for hospital medicine. As CMO, he will focus on promoting quality clinical processes, enhancing team and patient experience and building a strong bond with patients, caregivers, medical staff and the community. Dr. Correll will also continue to work clinically as a hospitalist
Prior to joining the SMCHH family nine years ago, Dr. Correll worked at Scott and White Hospital as the associate program director, family medicine and as a hospitalist. He graduated with honors from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and earned his medical degree from Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine. Dr. Correll completed his family medicine residency at Scott and White/Texas A&M University and also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Quantic School of Business.
Chris Egizio, VP of Operations
Chris Egizio, PT, MPT is the Vice President of Operations at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (SMCHH). Chris came to SMCHH as Director of Therapy Services in October 2017 after leaving Palos Hospital in Palos Heights, Illinois where he served as Assistant Director of Rehabilitation from 2008-2014 and as Director of Rehabilitation from 2014-2017. Chris currently represents SMCHH as Secretary of the Texas Physical Therapy Association for the Capital Area District as well as Board Member and Treasurer of Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Physical Therapy from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.
